Hi Dear Reader.
If it sounds like I'm whispering, I kind of am.
The kids are still asleep. Which is weird.
Why do they sleep in on the one day
that we have to go someplace?
Any day but Friday, they would have been in here long ago
asking me every three seconds,
"What's for breakfast?"
I got my hair cut again yesterday.
A tad bit shorter, same style.
Am I going to get it slightly shorter each and every visit
until eventually I come out looking like Sinead O'Conner?
(I'll wait while you google Sinead O'Conner
--you might add "Nothing Compares 2 U" to her
name when you google her.)
I feel like we have already missed so much
of our homeschooling co-op this year.
We've only missed 2 or 3 times,
but my soul, it's only the first day of October
(by the way, Happy October!!!).
It's so unlike us to miss.
It makes my kids CRAZY.
We usually do not miss unless there's
something major. Like a flood or a famine.
But then, everything in life seems to have
changed in the last year. My one friend keeps telling me
that it's adding the fourth child.
No matter what I speak about,
she blames it on having a fourth child.
Crazy day? Four children.
Short on money? Four children.
Ketchup stain? Four children.
Full moon? Four children.
In-laws coming in today. Family (and friends) coming over
for a birthday celebration tomorrow night and I am
not at all ready for it. Not at all. But it will
come together. Just like the Beatles.
I am in the "getting ready" stage, and I'm always better at
bringing things together under a little pressure
(like being short on time).
It's not a big ordeal, just a casual fun thing.
It'll be fine.
Have a lovely day, Dear Reader.
Maybe I'll shoot you full of holes
when I get home this afternoon.
That gives you something to look forward to, huh?
