Have you ever had the heebie geebies?
I have them right now.
Oh man, do I ever have them.
For the first time that I can think of in my married life,
I have a mouse in my house.
HEEBIE GEEBIE!!!
And where else would this critter be but in my kitchen?
Ugh.I have a mouse in my house.
HEEBIE GEEBIE!!!
And where else would this critter be but in my kitchen?
It just makes my skin crawl.
I discovered this guest yesterday
(by what he left behind--and oh,
how I hope there's only one of them!).
I set two traps last night.
Now....I have never set a mouse trap before. I was so wary of snapping my own fingers off that I must have set it really well. So well that it didn't work. After talking to my dad about it this morning, he said that basically I fed the mouse, I didn't really set the trap. Something about the way I put the cheese on the trap.
Good grief.
So what I found this morning
was a decorative display
of droppings around the
cheese-less traps and
no dead mouse.
My dad is going to come over and
set the traps some time today.
Why am I thinking right now of the way
W.C. Fields would say
"Nevah send a boy-ah to do a man-ah's job" ?

I hope to report to you tomorrow
about the death of a rodent.

I found it ironically comical that as I scrolled down and finished reading today's blog, the next thing I read is your previous blog's title...."Say CHEESE!!" I bet that's what your mouse friend was saying while you were taking all those pictures!!!
Ha ha!!
I have the heebie geebies with you!!! Yikes.
We got the cool traps that are kinda like the roach motels. They go in and don't come out - I don't even have to see them.
God speed!
Mouse bait (poison) works much better than traps. Just be sure you put it where no chillun' nor domestic critter will get into it.
I have had several in my house since moving to the desert. Apparently it has something to do with the monsoon and living in the desert that attract them into peoples homes. I WAS SO GROSSED OUT!!!! I couldn't believe that these little critters would live in MY house. Because they only live in really unkempt homes right? WRONG!!!! I killed one not even trying to (you know me and cute little animals, I don't want to hurt them, BUT I also DON'T WANT THEM IN MY HOUSE!!!!). I had left the mop bucket out complete with water and in the morning, there was a little one floating around in it. We had a few living in our walls, and had maintenance come out and get them out. Then last week, a bat of all things somehow made it into our home. We were watching a movie and all of a sudden something was flying about our heads. QUICK SOMEONE COVER THE PIZZA!!!!!! Good luck! I heard the sticky traps work too.
